Stabbing incident sends shockwaves across UK

On Monday morning, 3 girls were stabbed and killed in a Taylor Swift themed yoga and dance workshop while 8 others were injured - 5 of them critically. A 17-year-old male is in police custody on suspicion of the incident. This tragedy took place in Southport, England. UK PM arriving to pay tribute

Newly elected UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer also arrived at the scene of the tragedy in order to pay his tribute to the horrendous incident. The PM held a wreath of flowers in his hands to place with the rest as well as a handwritten note that read, "To the victims, families and people of Southport, our hearts are broken, there are no words for such profound loss. 'Just completely in shock': Taylor Swift

The US singer took to Instagram and expressed her condolences to everyone affected by the incident. She said that the attack had left her speechless and that the loss of life and trauma inflicted on the children, families, and first responders was truly disturbing. Taylor wrote on Instagram that she was "just completely in shock." Her fans have raised more than 125,000 pounds ($160,000) online to help families of the victims and for the hospital where some of the children were being treated. (Photo: Reuters)

Riots in response to the stabbing

The tragic incident led to a riot with the public chanting "we want our country back". The public said that it was fed up with the increased number of stabbing incidents and the authorities not taking necessary measures to put a stop to them, further wanting to take law into its own hands to get things under control.
