US sends new diplomat to Dhaka
The US sent Tracey Ann Jacobson, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, to the US embassy in Dhaka as charge d'affaires, ad interim, on Saturday. Biden had in May 2024 nominated David Slayton Meale, who had served as deputy chief of mission in Beijing and Dhaka in the past, as the next US ambassador to Bangladesh.
