Taliban seize attack copter gifted by India to Afghan government

will host on Thursday. Reports from Afghanistan on Wednesday said the Taliban had further consolidated its presence in the north by taking over the Kunduz airport and seized an attack chopper gifted by India to Afghanistan.


The chopper though was not in use any more, as per local media reports. The video of the Kunduz airfield suggests that the chopper may have been defunct as it was without rotors, a report from

Kabul

said.

After hosting a meeting of the ‘extended troika’ that was convened by

Russia

, Qatar will host another meeting on Afghanistan in the middle of the Taliban military offensive.

As TOI had reported on Tuesday, India too has been invited by Qatar to participate in the meeting that will focus on efforts to arrive at an interim arrangement that can put an end to the violence in Afghanistan.
