Bangladesh unrest: Man killed as crude bomb hurled in Dhaka; deceased identified
The situation in Bangladesh remains tense, with violence continuing to erupt. On Wednesday, a man was killed after miscreants hurled a crude bomb from a flyover in Dhaka’s Moghbazar area, the Daily Star reported.
The deceased was identified as Saiful. The incident took place around 7pm, according to inspector (operations) of Hatirjheel Police Station, Md Mohiuddin, who confirmed the details to The Daily Star.

"Saiful was having tea at a roadside stall when a crude bomb, hurled from the flyover above, struck him," he said.
Bangladesh has been witnessing massive unrest following the death of key student activist Sharif Osman Hadi, who succumbed to injuries in Singapore after an assassination attempt in Dhaka. Hadi’s death triggered widespread uproar across the South Asian nation, with interim leader Muhammad Yunus vowing justice and "no leniency" for those responsible.
Hadi had been a prominent figure in the anti-government protests last year that led to the toppling of Sheikh Hasina's government.
Amid the turmoil, tensions escalated further when Dipu Chandra Das, a Hindu youth from Bangladesh’s minority community, was lynched by a mob in Mymensingh over alleged blasphemy last week, and his body was set on fire.
Das’ killing sparked widespread protests by factory workers, students, and rights groups in Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh.
The mob attack on Das coincided with the death of radical right-wing cultural group Inqilab Mancha leader Sharif Osman Hadi.
