External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday told Rajya Sabha that the Indian government is in constant talks with the Bangladesh interim government and keeping a close watch on the law and order situation in Dhaka a day after Sheikh Hasina resigned from the prime minister post and fled to India. He also added that during the protests on Monday, several minorities were targeted in Dhaka.
"Several minorities, their businesses and temples were attacked during the protests on August 5," Jaishankar said.
"We are in close and continuous touch with the Indian community in Bangladesh through our diplomatic missions," he said.
