China welcomes products, services of any country: foreign ministry

BEIJING: China welcomes the products and services of any country, as long as they comply with China's laws and regulations, the Chinese foreign ministry said on Friday.

Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning made the remark at a regular press briefing when asked about a United States lawmaker saying China's iPhone ban at state institutions aimed to limit US firms.

China has in recent weeks widened existing curbs on the use of iPhones by state employees, telling staff at some central government agencies to stop using their Apple Inc mobiles at work, two sources familiar with the matter said.
