DHAKA: In a bid to combat international terrorism jointly, Bangladesh and Australia have signed an agreement to work together to prevent organised transnational crimes and investigate such acts.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the Australian envoy in Dhaka and the home ministry's top bureaucrat, officials said yesterday.
"The MoU will provide a framework for cooperation between the two countries in combating international terrorism," foreign ministry statement said.
The two countries agreed to work together for combating organised transnational crimes, preventing and investigating acts of terrorism and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
