Pak minister claims opening of Kartarpur corridor was Army chief’s brain child to hurt India
AMRITSAR
: Pakistan’s blabbermouth politician Sheik Rashid has once again flaunted opening of Kartarpur corridor as a victory for Pakistan over India.According to Pak media reports, Sheikh Rashid, Pakistan’s railway minister , considered close to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, stated on Saturday that opening of Kartarpur corridor was a brain child of Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, which would hit India forever.
Notably it was Bajwa that had told the visiting Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu about Pakistan’s intentions of opening of corridor during the 550 birth anniversary of
Guru Nanak
Dev, when Sidhu had gone to attend the oath taking ceremony of his friend turned Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on August 18, 2018.Questions were then raised as to why Bajwa offered opening of corridor to Sidhu and not the Imran Khan.
This assertion of one of Imran’s close aide about the opening of Kartarpur corridor have put a question mark on Pakistan’s intentions, even as Sheikh Rashid is known for making mindless statements.
Gurdaspur district
of Indian Punjab with Kartarpur Sahib in Narowal district of Pakistan’s Punjab, was inaugurated on November 9.In recent past, Rashid has stated that Kartarpur Corridor would change the history of region and that it was the great success of Imran Khan and General Qumar Javed Bajwa and that the corridor would give immense benefit for the cause of Kashmir.
He had earlier made mockery of himself by stating that Pakistan was in possession of 125 gram and 250 gram atom bombs.
Even Pakistan’s former army chief Mirza Aslam Beg had in recent past stated that Pakistan would use Kartarpur corridor for creating troubles for India through Khalistan movement.
