For the first time, chief of the dreaded Laskar-e-Toiba, Hafiz Saeed speaks to
Times Now's correspondent Pradeep Dutta, in an exclusive phone interview where he blames Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf for murdering the 'Kashmir cause.'
US President George W Bush says you have links with Osama Bin Laden's Al-Qaida. Is this true? We have no links with Al-Qaida.
US should first provide proof and then make allegations. I have already written a letter to the US State Department asking them to prove the charge in a court of law. The US monitors our phone and till date they have not been able to establish any link between us and the Al Qaeda. This is all a malicious propaganda campaign. The US resents our popularity in Pakistan.
Do you agree with Pakistan's Kashmir policy? The incumbent government is too caught up with its own problems to have formulated a Kashmir policy.
President Musharraf ne Kashmir movement ka khoon kiya. He created a vertical split in Hurriyat and other separatists. This should not have happened.
You are losing support and the US is winning the war on terrorism. What do you have to say about this? Very soon you will find that situation will be just like it was before 9/11. I am happy that Pakistan has signed a treaty with the Taliban. This is an indicator of the fact that very soon the US will move out of Afghanistan. Once they move the pressure on the Pakistan government will lift and its policy will also change. Things will become good again?
How do you mean things will become good again? See it is no more an issue of Kashmir. It is now a question of Pakistan's survival. India is constructing projects on Jhelum and other rivers thus blocking much required water to Pakistan. India is also constructing dam on Kabul river which will further add to water woes of Pakistan. So in future there is going to be war between India and Pakistan.
