5 kids of family die after drinking contaminated water in Pakistan

Tragedy struck a family in Sanghar district, Singh, as five children, aged four to eight, lost their lives after drinking contaminated water from a borewell. The incident occurred in Sanghar, where the children drank water from a hand pump, leading to symptoms of fever, diarrhea, and vomiting. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the children succumbed to their illness during treatment.

NEW DELHI: Five kids of a family died after drinking contaminated water from a borewell in the Sanghar district of Singh, reported news agency ANI citing ARY News.
According to reports, the children, all aged between four to eight, lost their lives after they drank water from a nearby hand pump in Sanghar.
The children were taken to hospital after they complained of fever, diarrhoea, and vomiting.
However, they died while receiving treatment.
The victims have been identified as Mureed Bhatti (8), Mumtaz (3), Rashid Ali (5), Sania (4), and Zamira (4).
The deputy commissioner visited the village to test the water after the event, accompanied by health officials.
Meanwhile, after verifying the presence of harmful substances, a district health official has blocked the hand pump placed on agricultural land as a precaution.
