Sushma Swaraj responded to

NRI

affairs minister K T Rama Rao who tweeted to her about the plight of Fahiunnisa Begum of Kagaznagar in Telangana.

“We will provide Fahimunnisa Begum legal aid and all assistance,” Sushma Swaraj tweeted in response to KTR’s plea.

“Thank you madam. Appreciate the prompt response. Once again, you proved that relief for NRIs in trouble, is just a tweet away,” KTR said thanking the union minister.

Fahinunnisa Begum had gone to Saudi Arabia two months ago but was harassed by the kafil.

Her husband, Shaik Sadiq, said they had lost contact with her 45 days ago and were recently informed that she was sent to jail by the kafil who filed a false case against her.

In a video, Fahiunissa is seen making a desparate plea to be rescued or else she may not come back alive.

A shaken Shaik Sadiq said he and his children were disturbed at what had happened to Fahiunnisa and tried to bring the matter to the notice of Sushma Swaraj.

He said the kafil had not provided her food and had also tortured her. It was a month ago that Shaik Sadiq had tweeted to Sushma Swaraj but help eventually came in on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Sadiq tweeted to NRI affairs minister K T Rama Rao for help, who in turn, brought the matter to the notice of Sushma Swaraj who responded late on Wednesday night.
