Rising tensions in Iran: Kuwait urges its citizens to stay alert
Amid increasing safety concerns in Iran, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MoFA) has issued a strong advisory for its citizens in the country, urging them to stay alert, avoid public gatherings, and closely follow local guidelines to ensure their safety.
The MoFA has called on all Kuwaiti nationals currently in the Islamic Republic of Iran to be cautious and stay vigilant. Citizens are specifically advised to avoid areas where demonstrations, protests, or other gatherings might take place, as these situations could pose serious safety risks.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of fully adhering to instructions and guidelines issued by local authorities. Following official advice can significantly reduce exposure to potential dangers and help citizens respond effectively in critical circumstances
In case of any emergency, Kuwaiti nationals in Iran are instructed to immediately contact the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Tehran. The embassy’s dedicated emergency number is +98 991 920 2356. Additionally, the MoFA in Kuwait is available to assist citizens via the emergency numbers +965 159 and +965 22225504.
The advisory reflects Kuwait’s commitment to the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad. By providing clear guidance and emergency contact information, the Ministry ensures that Kuwaiti nationals in Iran are prepared to act quickly and stay safe in situations that may escalate unexpectedly.
