Israel Hamas War Live Updates: Hezbollah fires barrage of 50 rockets at Kiryat Shmona, Northern Israel
Hezbollah launched around 50 rockets into northern Israel from Lebanon overnight on Saturday night, mostly targeting the Kiryat Shmona area.
According to the Israel Defence Forces, about 20 rockets were fired at around 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Most were intercepted, though a few landed, causing some damage but no injuries.
One rocket hit a structure and a sidewalk, damaging property, infrastructure, and a parked car, the Kiryat Shmona municipality said.
At 5:35 a.m., Hezbollah launched another barrage of 30 rockets towards the Upper Galilee. The IDF intercepted several rockets, with the remainder falling in open areas. No injuries were reported in this attack either.
In response, the Israeli Air Force targeted Hezbollah military structures in Southern Lebanon, including in Aitaroun, Maroun El Ras, and Yaroun. Israeli drones also eliminated members of the Hezbollah-aligned Amal group operating in Froun while a Hezbollah rocket launcher used to fire at Safed was destroyed in Aynata.
Israeli artillery strikes also hit targets in Odaisseh, Naqoura, Abou Chach, and Tayr Harfa. Despite the damage, no casualties were reported on either side during these exchanges.

The Qatar Red Crescent and the U.N. agency for Palestinians (UNRWA) signed an agreement on Sunday, with $4.5 million from a Qatari state development fund, to aid more than 4,400 stranded Palestinian workers and patients from Gaza in the West Bank.
"[The] cash assistance will represent vital support for those displaced who have not been able to return to the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Strip last October," a statement from the Qatar's state news agency said.
"Thousands of Palestine refugees from Gaza remain trapped in the West Bank, trapped in this crisis situation, stranded from their loved ones and livelihoods," UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said.
Since Israel's blockade of Gaza began in 2007, movement in and out of the Strip has been heavily restricted, forcing individuals to seek medical care, education, or jobs in the West Bank, while escalating violence often closes borders, trapping those in need of essential services.

An Israeli airstrike on a house in Jabalia on Sunday killed Mohammad Morsi, deputy director of the Gaza Civil Emergency Service in the northern areas of the Gaza Strip, and four of his family, health officials said.
The Civil Emergency Service said in a statement that Morsi's death raised to 83 the number of its members killed by Israeli fire since Oct. 7.
There was no immediate Israeli comment on Morsi's death.
Residents said Israeli forces had also blown up several houses in the Zeitoun suburb of Gaza City 5 km from Jabalia. Medical teams said they were unable to answer desperate calls by some of the residents who had reported being trapped inside their houses, some wounded.
"We hear constant bombing in Zeitoun, we know they are blowing up houses there, we don't sleep because of the sounds of explosions, the roaring of tanks sound close and the drones don't stop circling," said one resident of Gaza City, who lives around 1 km away.
"The occupation is wiping out Zeitoun, we are afraid about the people trapped in there," he told Reuters via a chat app, refusing to be named.
Later on Sunday, the Gaza health ministry said Israeli military strikes across the enclave killed at least 15 people.
