Israel-Hamas conflict: United Nation's Antonio Guterres calls for 'immediate humanitarian ceasefire'

BEIJING: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Wednesday for an "immediate humanitarian ceasefire" in the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza.

"I call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire to... ease the epic human suffering we are witnessing," Guterres told a forum of the Belt and Road infrastructure project in Beijing.
