"We received 20 fatalities and several wounded after an Israeli air strike targeted a house belonging to the Hasan family in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza," the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said in a statement.

The strike reportedly occurred at approximately 3:00 am local time, according to witnesses. The Israeli army stated that it was verifying the report.

Palestinian official news agency Wafa stated that among the wounded were several children, and rescue teams were searching for individuals trapped under the debris.

Intense clashes and extensive Israeli airstrikes have been documented in the central Nuseirat camp following the commencement of a "targeted" military operation concentrated on the southern city of Rafah since early May.

For several days, Palestinian militants and Israeli troops have engaged in clashes in north Gaza's Jabalia camp. Witnesses reported that several other houses were targeted in airstrikes overnight across Gaza, with air raids and artillery shelling also hitting parts of Rafah during the night.
