Cristiano Ronaldo buys two luxury private villas at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Nujuma Island
Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his wife Georgina Rodriguez have acquired two ultra-luxury villas at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea. Drawn by the destination’s pristine natural beauty, privacy, and year-round adventure opportunities, the couple can now enjoy exclusive family retreats on one of the world’s most luxurious and sustainable island resorts.
The couple has been visiting the destination since the first resorts opened in 2023 and continues to explore additional investment opportunities within the project.
Nujuma and other Red Sea destinations follow a regenerative approach. By 2040, the project aims to achieve a net positive environmental impact of 30% through restoration and enhancement of coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, and native habitats. All residential facilities are powered by 100% renewable energy.
As a flagship project under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Red Sea continues to attract high-profile visitors and investors seeking exclusive living experiences aligned with environmental responsibility.

Private island living
Nujuma is part of The Red Sea Residences, located on private islands roughly 26 kilometers from the mainland and accessible only by boat or seaplane. The resort features just 19 independent villas designed to provide privacy, luxury, and close contact with nature. Ronaldo and Rodriguez purchased a three-bedroom villa for family use and a two-bedroom villa for shorter stays, making them among the earliest owners.A personal connection
Ronaldo said the couple immediately felt a deep connection with the destination. “The Red Sea is truly exceptional in every sense,” he said. “From our very first visit, Georgina and I felt a connection with the island and its natural beauty.
