NEW DELHI: Yemen's Houthi leader, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, said on Thursday that 37 people have lost their lives and 30 were injured due to 424 US and British airstrikes in Yemen.
The Houthi group, backing Palestinians in the Israel-Hamas conflict, has been targeting international vessels in the Red Sea since November. In response, the US and Britain launched retaliatory strikes starting in February.

Al-Houthi reported that 90 ships were attacked, with drone strikes expanding to other regions. Over a month, 34 assaults occurred, utilizing 125 ballistic missiles and drones.
These actions have disrupted global shipping, leading to longer and costlier voyages around Africa's southern tip. The strikes by the US and Britain were in response to the Houthi assaults on maritime traffic.
