'Completely blind' hairdresser arrested

A "completely blind" Italian hairdresser has been arrested for defrauding the state.
The 62-year-old woman was filmed working in a hair salon and riding a bicycle despite claiming benefits "for at least three years" by declaring she was "completely sight-impaired", ANSA reports.
Officials - who also captured footage of the woman shopping for clothes and food - are thought to be suing her to repay the money she claimed in benefits, which is thought to be around $59,000.
A tax police representative said: "Not only was she styling hair but we also filmed her cycling, crossing the street with a keen eye on the lights and even reading the paper."
