Slovak president-elect urges parties to suspend EU election campaign
BRATISLAVA: Slovak president-elect Peter Pellegrini on Thursday called on all parties to suspend campaigning before European parliament elections scheduled for early June after the shooting of Prime Minister Robert Fico.
"I am calling on all political parties in Slovakia to temporarily suspend or considerably reduce their European election campaign," Pellegrini said in a statement, adding Slovakia should avoid "further confrontation".
