Russia launched 267 drones on Ukraine overnight, the highest number recorded since the invasion began in February 2022, according to Ukraine’s air force.
Air force spokesman Yuriy Ignat said that Ukrainian defences intercepted 138 drones, while 119 crashed without causing damage. He did not specify what happened to the remaining 10, but a separate military report confirmed that multiple regions, including Kyiv, were hit.
In a separate Russian attack late Saturday, a missile strike in the central city of Kryvyi Rih killed one man and injured five others, according to local authorities, reported ANI.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Defence Ministry reported that it had destroyed 20 Ukrainian drones launched overnight.
