Air force spokesman Yuriy Ignat said that Ukrainian defences intercepted 138 drones, while 119 crashed without causing damage. He did not specify what happened to the remaining 10, but a separate military report confirmed that multiple regions, including Kyiv, were hit.

In a separate Russian attack late Saturday, a missile strike in the central city of Kryvyi Rih killed one man and injured five others, according to local authorities, reported ANI.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Defence Ministry reported that it had destroyed 20 Ukrainian drones launched overnight.

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022, claiming it needed to defend itself against NATO expansion. Since then, the war has caused widespread destruction, with both sides carrying out airstrikes and drone attacks regularly.
