The Kremlin on Monday asserted that no additional contacts took place between Russia Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump that should be made public, according to a report from Reuters.

Kremlin's response came after a reporter questioned spokesman Dmitry Peskov about any recent phone call between the two world leaders after Feb 12.

Last week, the US president said that he had a conversation with Putin on "numerous occasions."

Peskov further described the Zelenskyy-Trump showdown at White House as "unprecedented".

"Quite an unprecedented event," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said adding that Zelensky "demonstrated a complete lack of diplomatic abilities. To put it mildly".

He also accused Zelenskyy of wanting to strike a peace deal following a clash of him with Trump.

"He doesn't want peace. Someone should make him want peace. If the Europeans do it, all kudos to them," spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
