A Paris court has convicted filmmaker Christophe Ruggia for sexually assaulting French actor Adèle Haenel when she was between 12 and 15 years old. He was sentenced to two years under house arrest with an electronic bracelet and a two-year suspended sentence. Haenel, now 35, first accused Ruggia in 2019, becoming one of the first high-profile figures in France to speak out about sexual abuse in the film industry following the MeToo movement.
