LONDON: French First Lady Carla Bruni has reportedly revealed her baby bump on a break with her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy, confirming rumours that the couple are expecting their first child.
British tabloid 'The Sun' has published photos of the 43-year-old former Italian supermodel-turned-singer with the baby bump as she takes a stroll with her hubby on a beach at Bregancon fort in Bormes Les Mimosas in the south of France.
In the photo, Bruni -- relaxed in a white dress and straw hat -- exercises on the sea shore before patting her 56-year-old hubby on the backside.
Neither Bruni nor her husband have commented on pregnancy rumours as yet, but the President Sarkozy's father, Pal Sarkozy, confirmed in May that the couple are expecting their first child together.
Pal told German newspaper 'Bild' that he is "glad to be having a grandchild", but added he does not know the sex of the baby. Sarkozy senior said that neither Carla nor Nicolas "want to know the sex of the child", but gushed that "I'm sure it's a girl who'll be as beautiful as Carla".
It is rumoured that Bruni is due this October. Bruni's child will be a first for a serving President in office in the history of the French republic.
