China actress wins sex scandal case

BEIJING: The ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ actress Zhang Ziyi has won a 19-month long legal battle against a US-based website which claimed she slept with high-ranking officials for money. The news site Boxun News has issued an apology following the settlement between the parties under the supervision of a LA court.
Hong Kong’s Apple Daily which relayed the story before it was widely published in the Chinese media had apologized last November.Zhang who recently won the Best Actress award at the 56th Asia-Pacific Film Festival said she would not stop seeking justice even after the settlement. “We will legally hunt down any media and individuals still spreading lies and rumours,” she said in an online post.
