Windies-UP practice match in Mumbai?
BHUBANESWAR: With the India-Australia ODI set to be washed out, Odisha Cricket Association secretary Ashirbad Behera on Friday urged the BCCI president N Srinivasan to shift the three-day practice match between West Indies and Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) XI to shift to some other venue.
The match, scheduled to begin from October 31, is likely to be shifted to Mumbai.

"The India-Australia ODI is likely to be called off due to rain and a swampy outfield. There is no guarantee that the conditions will improve in the next four days," Behara told TOI.
Spelling out the reasoning behind his request to the BCCI, Behera said, "We would lose around Rs 3 crore if the ODI is called off, but we would get back that money through insurance.
"But once the West Indies and Uttar Pradesh teams reach here on October 29, they would need a ground ready for nets. In realistic terms, Barabati will need almost a week to dry up, provided there is no rain at all."
He continued, "At this juncture it is almost unlikely that the muddy outfield of Barabati can be match-ready by October 31. In that case, we don't want players of two more teams to get frustrated by not getting a chance to play due to poor ground conditions or inclement weather."
As per the Windies tour schedule, apart from the lone practice match in Cuttack, the visitors would play two Tests (November 6-10 in Kolkata and November 14-18 in Mumbai) and three ODIs (November 21 in Kochi, November 24 in Visakhapatnam and November 27 in Baroda).
