'Suzhal: The Vortex' gets a second season; Manjima Mohan to headline

The Tamil web series 'Suzhal: The Vortex' was released in June 2022. The web series, directed by Brahma G. and Anucharan Murugaiyan, was created by Pushkar and Gayathri, and it starred Aishwarya Rajesh, Kathir, Parthiban, Sriya Reddy, and Harish Uthaman in lead roles. The series is a crime thriller, and it was critically acclaimed.

Following the massive welcome of the first season, the makers have now planned for the second season of the series, and the OTT platform has now announced that they have renewed the series for a new season, leaving the fans excited.

The series also featured Lal and Gouri Kishan, and it was about the murders that happened in a village with a mystery in it. Now, the series sequel, 'Suzhal: The Vortex' will also feature Manjima Mohan, Monisha Blessy, and Samyuktha Vishwanathan in lead roles. The makers have revealed that actor Kathir will be reprising his role as a determined cop in the second season.

In the new season's story, the focus is shifted to the Ashtakaali festival in Kaalipattanam, a village with a dark history. The second season is also created by Pushkar and Gayathir, and it is directed by Brahma G. and Sarjun.
