Sija Rose on playing Shobha in 'Secret Stories: Roslin' says, 'Loved being the villain of someone's life'
Sija Rose is often seen playing the innocent village girl or the tuition teacher, who was everyone's crush. But this time she got heard, turned playing a character with negative shade, and he has done it with all perfection. Sija was seen playing the younger version of Meena's Shobha in the series 'Secret Stories: Roslin,' and she is still excited about her role.
On Instagram, Sija has penned a note sharing her excitement about playing a negative character for the first time in her career.
"Shobha...the looks that deceive. I have always been in roles that are innocent, strong-headed, naive, or caring. For the first time, Shobha is the opposite of these. Looks innocent, shrewd, cunning, and a murderer! I got to explore the other side of me; though a few scenes, I enjoyed playing the negative shade. Loved being the villain of someone’s life," she wrote.
Secret Stories: Roslin is a recently released psychological thriller in Malayalam starring Meena, Vineeth, Hakkim Sha, and Sanjana Dipu. The series was well accepted for its gripping storyline and the acting brilliance of the cast.
Sija Rose is one of the known faces in both Malayalam and Tamil. Though she had done small roles in Malayalam movies, she gained attention with her stint in reality shows that made her familiar to the Malayali audience. She has also done a handful of movies in Tamil. Her character Malar in Vijay Sethupathi's Madhavanum Malarvizhiyum is still popular among the audience.
Lastly, she was seen playing a notable character in Arjun Ashokan's Sumathi Valavu.
