Doctor Slump: Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye starrer drama SOARS in global ratings race

Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye starrer 'Doctor Slump' debuted on OTT on January 27 and has scored some big numbers. Interestingly, the drama, which also released on Netflix in selected regions, has earned positive ratings.

With just two episodes being aired till now, 'Doctor Slump' has recorded 1,900,000 hours of viewership, taking over the ninth spot in the TV (Non-English) category. 'Doctor Slump' reportedly earned significant global viewership as it released countries like India, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Taipei, and Vietnam.

'Doctor Slump' narrates the story of Yeo Jeong Woo (portrayed by Park Hyung-sik) and Nam Ha Neul (played by Park Shin-hye). From being fierce competitors in school, the duo ends up crossing paths as adults, in their lowest phase ever. While Yeo Jeong Woo is battling a false accusation which has marred his practice as a plastic surgeon, Nam Ha Neul is battling depression after putting up with an unhealthy work environment at a hospital.

'Doctor Slump' marks Park Shin-hye's reunion with Park Hyung-sik after 11 years. Their last outing being 'The Heirs,' which aired in 2013.
