Disney+ has dropped a new teaser for its upcoming series, ‘Vigilante.’ This show is based on a webtoon with the same name and tells the story of Kim Ji Yong, portrayed by
Nam Joo Hyuk. He's a standout student at a police university, diligently upholding the law by day, but by night, he becomes a vigilante. His mission is to take matters into his own hands and bring justice to criminals who manage to evade the law.
The fresh teaser provides an exciting glimpse into the intense showdown between Vigilante and a trio of relentless pursuers, each driven by their own motives.
It begins with a gripping statement, "The price of the criminals' sins that the law couldn't properly bring to justice - someone is imposing it through violence." The teaser swiftly introduces us to Vigilante and his quest.
The trailer goes on to show Vigilante tracking down and punishing criminals who pose a threat to those who reported their crimes. With a commanding presence, he declares, "Start blaming the law for letting you go. Because I'm going to show you what hell is."
As Vigilante gains public support, Chief Investigator Jo Heon (played by Yoo Ji Tae) of the Metropolitan Investigation Unit deduces that this person possesses exceptional intelligence, plans meticulously, and acts resolutely. He embarks on a mission to capture Vigilante. The teaser offers a tantalizing glimpse into the high-stakes psychological standoff between the two when Jo Heon questions Kim Ji Yong, "Kim Ji Yong, we've met before, right?"
Joining the pursuit of Vigilante for their own reasons are second-generation chaebol Jo Kang Ok (played by Lee Joon Hyuk), who openly admires and is intrigued by Vigilante, and reporter Choi Mi Ryeo (played by Kim So Jin). She is motivated by the ratings boost and sensational content that Vigilante's actions provide. As Jo Kang Ok discreetly proposes to Choi Mi Ryeo, saying, "Let's protect him," it adds an intriguing layer to the intertwining of their stories and their impact on Vigilante.
