According to the Korean Film Council's announcement on May 3, ‘The Roundup: Punishment’ has reached a notable milestone, garnering a total of 6,040,908 moviegoers as of May 2. Achieving this milestone within just nine days of release is a remarkable feat for the film.

As the quickest Korean film of 2024 to surpass 6 million moviegoers, ‘The Roundup: Punishment’ has surpassed the previous record set by ‘Exhuma’, which took 11 days to accomplish the same achievement. Set within the captivating universe of Ma Dong Seok's ‘The Outlaws’ series, the movie follows the thrilling escapades of legendary detective Ma Seok Do as he collaborates with the Cyber Investigation Team to dismantle an illegal online gambling ring.
