Life has come around full circle it seems for

Lee Jung Jae, who has been using his new Instagram profile to share some of his best photos and videos, uploaded a couple of shots from the recent gala. While the actor, on Wednesday, shared a photo with

Oscar

winner Leonardo DiCaprio, on Sunday, he shared a couple more clicks from his reel.

One of the photos was a selfie he took with BLACKPINK star Jennie, another with 'Squid Game' co-star

Jung Ho Yeon

and another with Hollywood actress, Elle Fanning.

While all the three pictures see him happily smiling away with the lovely ladies, his selfie with Jennie created the most buzz. BLINKS couldn't help but recall the singer's special 'connection' with the Korean superstar.

It is a known fact that Jennie's mom was a huge fan of Lee Jung Jae and loved his K-drama series 'Sandglass' so much that she decided to name her child Jae Hui which was the name of his character in the show. However, as fate would have it, she had a girl and couldn't go ahead with the name so she decided to improvise.

Jennie was thus named so because the name rhymed with Jae Hui.

The singer made headlines when she visited the sets of 'Squid Game' to pay her bestie Jung Ho Yeon a visit.

As far as the show is concerned, director

Hwang Dong-hyuk

confirmed last week that the show will be back for a second season.
"I almost feel like you leave us no choice. There's been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season," Hwang Dong-hyuk said in a statement to AP at a red-carpet celebration for the show.

"It's in my head right now. I'm in the planning process currently. But I do think it's too early to say when and how that's going to happen. So I will promise you this, Gi-hun will be back and he'll do something for the world," Hwang added.
