The hit Netflix anime series Spy x Family is set to return with an all-new second season this fall, and fans couldn't be more thrilled. When the series made its debut in 2022, no one could have predicted its meteoric rise to fame, yet, the quirky and dysfunctional Forger family has managed to capture the hearts and undivided attention of viewers worldwide.
With Season 2, titled "Operation Strix," on the horizon, the Forger family is poised to continue its action-packed journey as they secretly take on threats, terrorists and goons aiming to reign terror between the East and West. The first season covered approximately six volumes of the original manga, leaving fans eager to see how the remaining volumes will be brought to life in the upcoming season.
Not only is Season 2 on the horizon, but fans can also look forward to a spin-off movie titled "Spy x Family: Code White," scheduled for release in December.
The Spy x Family anime series is an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo. Alongside this, Endo has previously penned popular manga series like "Tista" and "Blade of the Moon Princess."
For the first season, the series was adapted for the screen by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, known for his work on "Dororo." However, for Season 2, Furuhashi has been replaced by Ichiro Okouchi, famed for his work on "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion." The transition promises to bring fresh perspectives and creative energy to the series.
Directorial duties for the second season have been passed on to Takahiro Harada, known for "The Promised Neverland."
