Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang's eagerly anticipated Friday-Saturday drama, ‘My Demon' has released a tantalizing new teaser that's bound make hearts flutter.
In this fantasy rom-com, we're thrust into the extraordinary world of the demon-like chaebol heiress, Do Do Hee (played by Kim Yoo Jung), and the captivating yet enigmatic demon, Jung Gu Won (brought to life by Song Kang), who mysteriously loses his powers. They find themselves locked in a contractual marriage that's set to unravel a tale of love and intrigue. Kim Yoo Jung takes on the role of Do Do Hee, the heiress of the formidable Mirae Group, a woman who trusts no one and unexpectedly falls head over heels for a demon. The new teaser showcases Song Kang in a fiery avatar, while in a hospital set-up, Kim Yoo Jung ends up losing her cool and slapping him. Take a look:
The freshly unveiled teaser kicks off with a dramatic scene as Do Do Hee dives to rescue Gu Won, who's rapidly sinking into the depths of the ocean. As she clutches his wrist, Do Do Hee's consciousness begins to slip away, and she mumbles, "To survive, I must let go of this man. It's all because of his name. Gu Won." In Korean, "Gu Won" can also mean "savior." While gripping Gu Won's wrist, the cross-shaped tattoo originally on his skin mysteriously transfers to Do Hee's wrist, leaving us with countless questions about its significance.
The teaser takes us on a rollercoaster, offering a glimpse into the trials and tribulations that Gu Won must confront. As he gazes at the tattoo now adorning Do Hee's wrist, he demands to know, "What have you done to me?" He fervently asserts, "This tattoo belongs to me; it's always been mine." Do Do Hee, understandably exasperated and incredulous at the ungrateful reaction from the man she risked her life to save, slaps Gu Won in frustration.
With Do Hee harboring doubts that the tattoo might be linked to Gu Won's powers, he decides to give her a firsthand demonstration to uncover the truth. When she inquires about his true identity, Gu Won nonchalantly reveals, "People like you call me a 'demon.'" Do Do Hee then proposes a rather unconventional arrangement, saying, "Become my bodyguard. If you refuse, I'll zap that tattoo away with a laser."
The teaser reaches its climax with Gu Won's piercing words, "Is it really that difficult to take care of yourself? If you're holding onto something precious that belongs to someone else, take responsibility."
Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung promise an engaging watch with My Demon. This fantasy drama will premiere on November 24.
