Lee Jong Suk might star alongside Shin Min Ah in an exciting new romance drama!
On December 10, reports emerged that Lee Jong Suk is being considered for the upcoming drama 'The Remarried Empress' (literal translation), where he would portray the prince of the Western Kingdom.
Responding to the news, his agency, ACE FACTORY, clarified, "The Remarried Empress is one of the projects Lee Jong Suk has received an offer for. His appearance has not yet been confirmed."
This drama is based on the popular fantasy romance web novel by the same name. It revolves around Navier, who is perfect in every aspect as an empress of the Eastern Empire. The life she lived suddenly turns upside down when her husband, the emperor, conspires to swap her for his mistress. Navier refused to let him leave her in that condition, and in order to reclaim her status as an empress, she had to seek another kingdom.
Lee Jong Suk had been offered the role of the charming prince and heir to the Western Kingdom's throne, Heinrich Alex Laszlo. Due to his nation's financial strength and power, the prince becomes infatuated with Navier. A deep bond develops between Heinrich and Navier such that when Heinrich took over the throne, he even proposed to Navier and introduced her to a new position as an empress, ruling by his side.
The speculated pairing of Lee Jong Suk and Shin Min Ah, who will reportedly play Navier, already got everyone talking and begging for their on-screen chemistry. Let us know how the casting and production details of 'The Remarried Empress' will be finalized.
