‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ cast promotes the film at the Empire State Building
The main cast of ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ -
Arden Cho, May Hong, and Rei Ami - gathered at the Empire State Building on August 22 for a special music-to-light show. One of the biggest hit songs of the film, ‘Golden’, was played as the girls pulled the lever and lit up the iconic tower.
A video of the show was shared on the building’s official social media account and ended up going viral online soon after. Co-director of the film, Chris Applehans, also attended the event.
As per amNewYork reports, the director shared his excitement over the event, stating, "I think it’s really awesome to have a symbol like the Empire State Building lit golden, just to kind of bring everybody in the city together and have a moment with music connecting us all, because it does do that. And really, really happy and proud that the movies sort of played on most of that."
Arden Cho, May Hong, and Rei Ami, the voices behind the animated girl group HUNTRIX, also posed for a photoshoot at the grand event and joined in the festivities celebrating the film's success.
The promotions are being done in relation to the film’s exclusive theatrical release on August 22 and 23. ‘Kpop Deom Hunters’ will be available for a theatrical viewing in select regions, where fans will be able to experience the popular animated film on the big screen and sing their heart out to the hit songs ‘Takedown’, ‘Soda Pop’, and ‘Golden’.
