Kim Go Eun joins 'Dog Days' cast for a special cameo as Lee Hyun Woo's girlfriend

The upcoming feel-good film, Dog Days, has a delightful surprise for fans as popular actress Kim Go Eun makes a special cameo appearance. Known for her roles in Goblin, Little Women, and Yumi’s Cells, Kim Go Eun will be taking on the role of Lee Hyun Woo's girlfriend in the movie.

The announcement came during a press preview and conference held on January 24 in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Director Kim Deok Min and the star-studded cast, including Yoon Yeo Jeong, Yoo Hae Jin, Kim Yun Jin, Jeong Seong Hwa, and Lee Hyun Woo, were present to share insights and anecdotes about the film.

Director Kim Deok Min revealed the exciting news about Kim Go Eun's cameo, disclosing that their connection goes back to his time as an assistant director for Hero. This connection paved the way for Kim Go Eun's appearance in Dog Days. In the film, she will play the role of Lee Hyun Woo's girlfriend and showcase her singing talent in a special scene.

Acknowledging Kim Go Eun's musical talent from her past experiences in musical films, Director Kim expressed his appreciation for incorporating music into Dog Days. He admired her singing skills and revealed his desire to include a singing scene if ever he directed a film featuring Kim Go Eun.

Dog Days, set to debut in theaters on February 7, 2024, is a highly awaited omnibus Korean movie. Directed by Kim Deok Min, the story revolves around a group of people and their dogs, featuring healing and moving narratives set in a veterinary hospital. The film explores the heartwarming relationships between pet owners and their beloved animals. Renowned South Korean actors like Youn Yuh Jung and Yoo Hae Jin will also star in the movie.
