You might have heard that Park Seo Joon, the famous K-Drama actor, is going to debut with Hollywood biggie ‘The Marvels'. He is all set to make a name for himself on the global stage by playing Prince Yan in Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming release. Even though we haven't seen much of his role in the teaser yet, there is a lot of anticipation for his part.

Did you know one of his famous K-Dramas helped him earn this role? In 2020, Park Seo Joon took on the character of Park Sae Royi in the Korean drama ‘Itaewon Class’. In the show, he portrayed the journey of an underdog who becomes a successful businessman. This role made a big impact, and many fans followed his story closely.

Nia DaCosta, the director of ‘The Marvels,’ recently told Cine21 how she ended up watching the show and cast how Park Seo Joon in 'The Marvels'. "During COVID-19, friends recommended ‘Itaewon Class’ starring Park Seo Joon, saying I would like it too. I was also a fan of Korean dramas during my teenage years, so I started binge-watching the show to return to those days. Park looked really cool in the drama. Then, I started watching other works by him and remembered his name," she revealed.

"Afterward, I took charge of directing ‘The Marvels,’ and while thinking about who would be suitable for the role of Prince Yan, Park Seo Joon came to mind," she added further.

‘The Marvels’ is all set to hit the screens on November 10.
