BTS from 'Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born' shows the ambitious journey of Yoon Jeong Nyeon in the series

Some new stills have been released from one of the most exciting and eagerly-awaited upcoming South Korean drama series 'Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born'. Set in the 1950s, the series tells the story of Yoon Jeong Nyeon, a young lady, who wants to become a great theater play actress while making her way through the societal and personal issues prevailing in that setting.

The production crew pre-released the teasers, which featured scenes of Kim Tae Ri playing Yoon Jeong Nyeon for the first time as she entered the world of traditional Korean theater. She was accompanied by her sister, Yoon Jeong Ja, to Mokpo's busy streets where Jeong Nyeon watched a 'gukgeuk' performance, a traditional form of Korean theatrical performance.

Further, there are stills including Jung Eun Chae and Kim Yoon Hye, who played Moon Ok Kyung and Seo Hye Rang, male and female leads of the above-told performance to which Jeong Nyeon is drawn and in which she finds the fire for theater. Jeong Nyeon finally changes herself to follow a traditional theater career after this scene.

The series, which will have 12 episodes, will show one episode every Saturday and Sunday starting from October 12. With such a strong historical background and narrative, 'Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born' is sure to deliver this powerful, emotional story of ambition, perseverance, and the pursuit of stardom.
