BLACKPINK’s Rose unveils insights into her upcoming solo album Rosie

BLACKPINK's Rose is ready for her long-awaited solo return with her first full album, set to drop on December 6, 2024. The preparation for the album has gone smoothly, with Rose opening up about her creative journey, inspiration, and even toxic relationships that influenced her new music.

In a candid conversation on Apple Music, Rose revealed a surprising detail about one of her tracks, "Toxic Till the End." Originally titled "The Ex," she changed it to the current name because it felt more powerful.

Discussing the emotional depth of her writing, Rose shared that expressing her thoughts through music felt natural. Reflecting on a past toxic relationship, she noted that talking about it helped her process her feelings, making it easier to write. With this album, Rosé has given herself the time to heal and move on from painful chapters in her life.




Before the album's release, Rose will drop the pre-release single "Number One Girl" on November 22, 2024. It is the second single from her album, following the viral hit "APT" featuring Bruno Mars.

A private, invitation-only listening party was held for those who got an exclusive preview of her new song, "Rosie," which contains 12 tracks: "Number One Girl," "Drinks or Coffee," "Two Years," "3AM," "Game Boy," "APT" (feat. Bruno Mars), "Stay a Little Longer," "Too Bad for Us," "Call It The End," "Not the Same," "Toxic Till the End," and "Dance All Night."



Rose has partnered with THE BLACK LABEL, led by renowned music producer Teddy, for her album. She is also signed to Atlantic Records, the label that represents international pop icons like Ed Sheeran and Charli XCX. As anticipation builds for her solo endeavor, fans are eager to see how "Rosie" reflects Rosé's personal growth and creative evolution.
