Actress Go Ah Sung's mother passes away; funeral to take place on Friday

’s mother passed away on July 6. Speaking about the development, a source close to the actress said, “Go Ah Sung is extremely saddened by the unexpected passing of her mother.” Her funeral will take place in Bundang,

Gyeonggi province

, at a hospital on July 9, at 7 am KST. Her final resting place will be at Seoul Memorial Park.

Go Ah-sung began her acting career as a child actress, in films such as ‘The Host' (2006), which was the highest-grossing film of the year. Following that, she appeared in prominent parts in films such as ‘Snowpiercer' (2013), ‘Thread of Lies' (2014), and ‘Office’ (2015), as well as TV dramas such as ‘Master of Study' (2010) and ‘Heard It Through the Grapevine' (2015).

drama ‘Radiant Office’ as a twenty-something woman who, following a suicide attempt and a possible terminal illness diagnosis, believes she has nothing to lose and approaches her profession and life with a fresh new perspective. She made a comeback to the big screen in 2019 with the historical drama ‘A Resistance.’
