Nagabhushana roped in as lead for upcoming Kannada web-series ‘Jerax’

The upcoming Kannada original series Jerax is generating buzz with a strong creative lineup and a notable casting announcement. Actor-producer Daali Dhananjaya has backed the project, while Srinidhi Bengaluru steps in as director, marking an intriguing collaboration in the regional digital space.

The makers have now revealed Nagabhushana as the lead actor, bringing his distinct, grounded style of performance to the series. Known for his relatable screen presence, Nagabhushana’s journey into cinema has been anything but conventional. After leaving a government job, he transitioned from theatre and socially conscious digital content into films that reflect everyday life with humour and authenticity.

His performances in Sankashta Kara Ganapathi and Ikkat have earned him recognition as an actor who connects effortlessly with audiences, blending realism with subtle comedic timing.

Speaking about the project, Nagabhushana said, “Jerax is unlike anything I’ve been a part of—it’s unpredictable, eccentric and constantly shifting. The world Srinidhi has created feels familiar and bizarre at the same time, and as a performer, that space was exciting to explore.”
