Prajakta Koli opens up about her childhood, recalls sweetest rule-breaking phase: 'I never got in trouble, until I met my husband'

Content creator and actor Prajakta Koli has opened up about her childhood and how drastically life changed when she fell in love. Speaking to IANS ahead of the release of her OTT show 'Single Papa', Prajakta described herself as a “very good child” while growing up, not a topper, but academically average, sensible and emotionally grounded. She shared that being a single child with a friendly bond with her parents helped her stay away from trouble. Her social circle was always small, restricted to a few close childhood friends, and she was never the type to sneak out or defy rules.Prajakta revealed that her days of mischief began only when she met the boy she eventually married this year. She spoke about how love introduced her to late-night outings, partying and drinking, something completely opposite to her teenage years. That phase also brought her first serious scolding. She recalled returning home late one night and waking up terrified of her parents’ reaction. In that moment, she apologised instantly, expecting punishment. Her mother’s sternness and her father’s light-hearted comment, “two more times you can come home drunk, then we’ll talk”, became a memory she now cherishes. Prajakta humorously added that her father even said he was slightly happy seeing her behave like a carefree youngster for once.Meanwhile, 'Single Papa' stars Kunal Kemmu, Manoj Pahwa, Neha Dhupia, Prajakta Koli and Ayesha Raza Mishra in the lead roles. The series will start streaming from December 12 onwards and is created by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani.
