Panchayat 4, Squid Game 3: OTT releases of the week that promise entertainment to the Indian audience

The OTT releases this week offer a diverse blend of drama, suspense, and emotional depth, spanning from the Indian heartlands to the dark halls of international plots. Everyone can find something they enjoy, whether they prefer action thrillers (Raid 2), high-stakes sabotage (Squid Game Season 3), small-town satire (Panchayat Season 4), or brand-new international crime stories (Smoke, Countdown, The Bear, and Mistry). These six brand-new shows and movies that are available on streaming services will add to your watchlist with their captivating plots, outstanding performances, and binge-worthy formats.

2/7

'Panchayat Season 4'

Both Phulera and Abhishek Tripathi have returned, and he is now more active in village politics than before. His internal struggle between his professional goals and unexpected emotional ties to the villagers is explored in Panchayat Season 4. This season builds on previous tensions, adds fresh political twists, and offers heartfelt humor, all thanks to outstanding performances from Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghubir Yadav. With its roots in rural India, Panchayat evolves the arc of each character while preserving its harmony between simplicity and satire. As the stakes in Phulera rise like never before, fans can anticipate more in-depth storytelling and a greater sense of civic duty.

3/7

'Squid Game season 3'

After the fallout from Jung-bae's death, Squid Game returns for its last chapter, where Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) returns to the deadly games in a last-ditch effort to destroy the organization from within. Tensions rise as the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) introduces cruel new rounds, such as sky-high Squid Game variations and jump rope duels. On the island, Detective Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon) keeps up his undercover work, risking exposure while discovering profound internal betrayals. The final season, which consists of only six episodes, promises a final, bloody showdown, shifting loyalties, and emotional judgment.

4/7

'Smoke'

Based on Dennis Lehane's adaptation of the true crime podcast Firebug, Smoke is a gripping, psychologically charged crime drama that brings Taron Egerton and Jurnee Smollett back together. Dave Gudsen, played by Egerton, is an arson investigator who hesitantly joins forces with Detective Michelle Calderone (Smollett) to find two serial criminals who are causing havoc in the Pacific Northwest. Insiders are under suspicion as they investigate the crimes, possibly even within their own departments, which forces them to face their personal demons and institutional loyalty.

5/7

'Raid 2'

After being sent to Bhoj, Rajasthan, in Raid 2, IRS officer Amay Patnaik (Ajay Devgn) sets out to overthrow Dada Manik Bhai (Ritesh Deshmukh), a strong and well-established politician who is in charge of a vast black money empire. As Patnaik investigates further, he finds a huge network of political protection, benami assets, and shell corporations. When threats turn personal, administrative hurdles increase, and his own position is questioned, the stakes get higher. Unfazed, Patnaik plans one of the most bold and well-publicized income tax raids in history, which could either cost him everything or bring down a criminal empire.

6/7

'The Bear season 4'

The Bear returns with ten brand-new episodes in season 4, escalating the drama from the cliffhanger of the previous season into a high-stakes kitchen drama about ambition, forgiveness, and chaos. Carmy, Sydney, and Richie must deal with harsh criticism, difficult decisions, and exploding emotions in the 60 days they have left to save the restaurant. Carmy struggles with his past, Sydney worries about her future, and Richie confronts life after the line with a wedding getting closer. While new chef cameos stir things up, Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Donna, delivering harsh realities.

7/7

'Mistry'

Mistry, a clever crime comedy with an Indian twist, centers on Armaan Mistry (Ram Kapoor), a brilliant detective who solves the most puzzling cases in the city due to his obsessive-compulsive traits. With the help of the realistic ACP Sehmat Siddiqui (Mona Singh), Mistry dives into investigations that combine humor, suspense, and emotional depth, producing a series that refreshingly adapts the popular American set Monk.
