The popular series 'Kohrra' is set to return with its much-awaited second season. Ever since Season 2 was announced, fans have been eagerly waiting for an update. The streamer has now finally revealed the release date and unveiled a brand-new poster featuring Mona Singh and
Barun Sobti.
When and where to watch 'Kohrra Season 2'
Netflix India has confirmed that Kohrra Season 2 will begin streaming from February 11, 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a gripping poster that instantly sets the tone for the new season. Mona Singh and Barun Sobti appear intensely focused, hinting that they are already deep into a tense investigation.
Sharing the poster, the streamer wrote, “Dhundh mein sach kho jaata hai.
Aaiye iss naye shehar mein, sach ko dhundne. Watch Kohrra 2, starring Mona Singh and Barun Sobti, out 11 February, only on Netflix.”
The post also included a letter revealing an update on Barun Sobti’s character, offering fans a glimpse into how his role evolves in the new season.
A brutal new case and two cops with heavy pasts
Season 2 introduces a fresh murder mystery that appears darker and more disturbing than before. The story kicks off with a shocking discovery — a brutally murdered and dismembered woman is found inside her brother’s house. The crime rattles the new town and draws the police into a maze of secrets.
Barun Sobti essays Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi, who is transferred from Jagrana to the Dalerpura Police Station. He works under Mona Singh’s character, Dhanwant Kaur, a strong and dedicated officer. While their approaches may differ, both are driven by the same relentless pursuit of the truth.
As the investigation deepens, the narrative also delves into personal struggles, unresolved trauma and complicated relationships, proving that the past refuses to stay buried.
What Sudip Sharma said about the new season
Showrunner and director
Sudip Sharma shared that the first season allowed the team to explore quiet tensions across people and timelines, and Season 2 continues that emotional intensity while remaining rooted in Punjab’s reality.
“This season as well, we’ve tried to bring forth as authentic a portrayal of Punjab as possible, with the characters rooted in a universal reality we’ve seen play out across the country. The show’s an emotional roller-coaster. Barun and Mona have done a fantastic job, and I can’t wait for people to see it for themselves,” he said.
Kohrra Season 2 is directed by Sudip Sharma and Faisal Rehman and promises another gripping watch.
