Kajol is winning praise for her lawyer act in ‘The Trial’, which was released on OTT last week. The actress plays a tough character in this series, which is a remake of American TV show ‘The Good Wife’.
For this series, Kajol broke her no-kissing policy and engaged in a lip lock with co-star Alyy Khan. As a video of the kiss is doing the rounds on the internet, netizens have reacted to the same.
In the series, Alyy and Kajol’s characters end up in a situation together and Alyy’s character, who still has feelings for the actress, ends up kissing her. Talking about the lip lock, Alyy had said in an interview that it was shot at a posh hotel and the director asked them if they wanted to have a closed set. He had also stated that there was no shame, embarrassment or hesitation while doing the scene and they had rehearsed it a few times too. According to reports, producer and Kajol’s husband Ajay was not present on the sets when this scene was canned. This lip lock marks Kajol’s third onscreen kiss, the previous two instances being for her debut film, 'Bekhudi' (1992), and 'Yeh Dillagi' (1994).
Directed by Suparn Verma, this series also features Jisshu Sengupta, Kubbra Sait and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles.
