Ektaa R Kapoor steps down as head of Alt Balaji: Will always share your posts and lend any support needed

Ektaa Kapoor on Friday announced that she will be stepping down as the head of Alt Balaji, a digital entertainment platform.
In a press statement, Ektaa announced, that she and her mother Shobha Kapoor, have stepped down from their positions as the head of the company. She also revealed the reason for stepping down and stated that the process began last year.
"While the process of stepping down started last year, Alt Balaji now has a new team to take over.This decision is a strategic one to focus on other ventures," read the statement.
Taking over as Chief Business Officer of Alt Balaji, will be Vivek Koka. Extending a formal welcome to Koka onboard the firm, Kapoor's statement read, "Under Mr Koka's leadership, Alt Balaji aims to follow their footsteps and continue its strong track record of delivering high-quality, original content to its audiences."
In her social media post, Ektaa also promised to lend her support whenever needed. Wishing the new team, she wrote, "Good luck team #alt !!!! Will always share ur posts n lend any support needed !!! Let’s welcome the new management (sic)."
Bollywood actors from Sonam Kapoor to Huma Qureshi, Sussanne Khan and many others sent her their best wishes.
On the work front, Ektaa Kapoor will bring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon together for her next production titled, 'The Crew'.
She also has an untitled thriller that is helmed by Hansal Mehta and stars Kareena in the lead.
