Watch these 2026 Oscar-nominated films on Netflix: 'Frankenstein', 'Train Dreams' and more

The Oscar 2026 nominations are finally out and you’ve got more than a month to catch up with the Academy Award contender. Several 2026 Oscar-nominated movies are available on OTT giants that give you the liberty to watch these films from the comfort of your home. From a film that holds 9 nominations to ‘Frankenstein’ to ‘Best Animated Feature’ nominee, here’s a list of Oscar-nominated films you can watch on Netflix.

2/6

‘Frankenstein’

‘Frankenstein’, adapted from Mary Shelly’s novel, is directed by Guillermo del Toro and holds nominations in 9 categories for the Oscars. The film also marks ‘Euphoria’ star Jacob Elordi’s first Oscar nomination.
The plot centers on Victor Frankenstein, a scientist who creates a sentient, grotesque creature from body parts, then abandons it in horror, leading the isolated, intelligent being to seek revenge by killing Victor's loved ones.

3/6

‘Train Dreams’

‘Train Dreams’ has received four Oscar nominations. The film follows the story of a logger, who leads a life of quiet grace as he experiences love and loss during an era of monumental change in early 20th-century America. The story explores themes of labor, loss, the vanishing "old world," and the extraordinary within an ordinary life, blurring reality and spirit. ‘Train Dreams’ stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, Kerry Condon, and William H. Macy

4/6

‘All the Empty Rooms’

‘All the Empty Rooms’ is nominated in the ‘Best Documentary Short Film’ category. ‘All the Empty Rooms’ is a short documentary by Joshua Seftel, following journalist Steve Hartman and photographer Lou Bopp on a seven-year project documenting the untouched bedrooms of children lost to U.S. school shootings, revealing the profound grief and absence felt by families, aiming to humanize gun violence beyond statistics.

5/6

‘The Perfect Neighbor’

‘The Perfect Neighbor’ has received nomination for ‘Best Document Feature’ at the 98th Academy Awards.
‘The Perfect Neighbor’ is a 2025 documentary about the fatal 2023 shooting of Black mother Ajike "AJ" Owens by her white neighbor, Susan Lorincz, in Ocala, Florida, unfolding entirely through police bodycam footage to explore escalating neighborhood disputes and racial prejudice.

6/6

‘KPop Demon Hunters’

This animated film has received two nominations for Oscars 2026.

K-Pop Demon Hunters follows Huntr/x, a K-pop girl group who secretly fight demons, protecting fans and using music to power a magical barrier called the "Honmoon" to seal away soul-eating demons led by Gwi-Ma. The threat emerges when the Saja Boys, a rival demon boy band, tries to weaken the barrier.

The film blends K-pop culture with Korean mythology, focusing on friendship, heritage, resilience, and self-acceptance.
