The White Lotus' Season 4: Ben Kingsley, Max Minghella and Pekka Strang join France setting and final cast

Ben Kingsley, Max Minghella and Pekka Strang have joined ‘The White Lotus’ season 4 as recurring cast members, completing what HBO described as the final casting announcement for the new season. Mike White’s hit HBO dramedy will move to France for its next chapter and follow a fresh group of guests and employees tied to the luxury resort chain during a tense week at the Cannes Film Festival.According to Variety, ‘The White Lotus’ season 4 will split its cast between two rival film teams competing at the festival. One group will stay at a flashy, palatial hotel on the Croisette, while the other will base itself at a luxurious hilltop hideaway. The report also said the season will take aim at French customer service.Kingsley, known for ‘Gandhi’, Minghella, known for ‘Industry’, and Strang, known for ‘Tom of Finland’, now join a large ensemble already announced for the France-set season. The previously confirmed cast includes Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Laura Dern, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani and Nadia Tereszkiewicz.The additional cast includes Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer and Laura Smet.‘The White Lotus’ follows wealthy travelers, resort staff and the conflicts that unfold inside luxury hotels. Each season has moved to a new location with a new main cast, while keeping some links to earlier chapters. Dern, who previously worked with White on HBO’s ‘Enlightened’, joined season 4 as a late addition. She stepped in after Helena Bonham Carter exited her role over creative differences.Past seasons have featured returning cast members. Jennifer Coolidge appeared in the first two seasons, Natasha Rothwell appeared in the first and third seasons, and Jon Gries has appeared in all three. HBO has not confirmed whether season 4 will include any surprise returnees.White created ‘The White Lotus’ and serves as writer and director. He executive produces the series with David Bernad and Mark Kamine.
