Stranger Things fan theory on series finale gets definitively disproved

Creators of "Stranger Things," the Duffer brothers, have unequivocally shut down a popular fan theory suggesting that the series might conclude with a reveal that the main characters were engaged in an intricate Dungeons and Dragons game, portraying the entire narrative as a fantasy.


In response to the theory, Matt Duffer denied the claim in an interview with Metro. Ross Duffer added that would be the equivalent of, ‘That’s all a dream.’ He assured that is not how they are going to end the show. He also urged the audience to wait and watch.

The Duffer brothers clarified that the speculated conclusion resembling a dream scenario is not in alignment with their planned ending for the series, asserting that they have had a clear vision for the show's conclusion for some time. Their comments aim to reassure fans that the finale will not take a clichéd route and will offer a resolution consistent with the narrative's established direction.
