‘Stranger Things’ Caleb McLaughlin shares his thoughts on Max and Lucas’ future - ‘That's an iconic love story’

‘Stranger Things’ came to an end last month as the gang faced off against Vecna and the Mind Flayer one last time. While all loose ends were tied by the final episode, fans have still been wondering what the characters may end up doing with their lives in the future. Caleb McLaughlin, who played the role of Lucas in the famed web series, was recently asked about what he thinks about his and Max’s future.

The actor recently attended the premiere for 'GOAT' on February 6, where he was asked about where he thinks Max and Lucas ended up after the events of the 'Stranger Things 5' finale. The actor shared that he hoped for a good ending for both of the characters and that he wished for them to stay together forever.'




“That's an iconic love story, so I hope the best for them,” he further quipped. The actor further expressed how grateful he is for ‘Stranger Things’ and how the 10-year-long journey came to an amazing and final end.

McLaughlin is not the only one who has hopes for Max and Lucas’s future. While starring as a guest on the ‘Happy Sad Confused with Josh Horowitz’ podcast last month, creator of the show Matt Duffer revealed that they are the real deal. He further added, “That is real. Their love is just too pure, too strong.”

About Max and Lucas’s ending

In the show’s final episode, it is shown that the gang is officially graduating from Hawkins High School after Vecna is defeated and the town is almost back to its normal state. The ending shows time skips for all of the characters and how they do in the future, with Max and Lucas finally catching that movie date that they always dreamt of before Vecna put Max under his spell and she went into a coma for almost 2 years.
